The Ngoma Safari Camp, Ngoma was opened in 1968. Located in Kafue National Park, it enabled visitors to spend a night close to nature. The camp was decorated in a rustic bush style with white walls and exposed beams.
The camp provided hotel-standard double-chalets, each with double bath, toilet, hot and cold water, electricity and laundry facilities, and a fully licensed restaurant provided meals. There was also a small library available and motor vehicle provisions including petrol. A motorboat and pilot were also available for hire. There was also a look-out tower from visitors could viewed game across the Nkala plains.
In 1969, a swimming pool was added.
