Animal Husbandry is the term given to the care, raising and breeding of livestock including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and poultry.
In 1974-1975, a grant was awarded to the government of the Bahamas to strengthen their livestock industry called the Bahama Livestock Project. This involved two contractors (Penn. State Univ. and Western Institute of Science and Technology). Part of the project included the training of local livestock producers.
