More than half the known species of Australian fish live in tropical waters, and among coral reefs they are usually vividly coloured. The beaked coral fish has a long snout and bristle-like teeth characteristic of the Chaetodon family, and is striped rich orange and yellow. It feeds on particles of food from the interstices of coral.
