    Love the Topic “Dead Countries”

After years of collecting, decided on Spain until the Peseta currency, Ecuador until Sucre currency. Spain Colonies and Czechoslovakia (Dead Country).
All with the possibility to complete if money permits.

But now looking for more collecting, the Dead Country Topic is challenging. There are interesting places to choose from and we can learn their history. It will challenge you to seek.

The 26 October 2020 date marks the turning point at which another “dead country” came into being – although the associated state is alive and kicking: when the Icelandic postal administration presented the latest stamp issue, it issued a press release stating that this was “the last stamp issue forever”.

    1. Ghost Quarter says:

Huh I wonder why that is. Do you have more information on that?

I’ve always found the topic of dead countries to be interesting. To see how a people wanted their country to be viewed is an interesting and unique glimpse into the past.
