Our Saviour Lutheran Church was located on East Sunrise Highway, Freeport. The building was designed in an “unusual modern architectual style” by Schweizer Associates.
In 1968, the Church sponsored a religious and school survey of Freeport which resulted in the Grand Bahama Port Authority agreeing to build a school called Sunland. The school was opened in in September 1969 and ownership transferred to the Church.
The Church attempted to start a university but this was rejected by Government.
