Grindlays Bank Ltd opened a branch in Bulawayo in 1955.Grindlay’s began operations in Southern Rhodesia in 1953 and was the smallest of the commerical banks in the Federation.
In 1958 Grindlays, aquired by National Bank of India Ltd in 1948, merged with National Bank of India Ltd. In 1959 it changed it’s name to National and Grindlays Bank Ltd.
