Rhodesian Colas Products Ltd’s factories and offices were located on Lytton Road, Salisbury. The business was a manufacturer of bitumen emulsifiers and asphalt.
The name was derived in 1924 from the words “COLd” and “ASphalt”, referring to a pioneering cold bitumen emulsion. Other processes included COLACID, COLASMIX and COLASTAK.
