H M Barbour (Pvt) Ltd, known as Barbour Rhodesia, was located on First Street, Salisbury. The department store was established in 1921 by Irishman Hugh McClean Barbour.
By 1966 Barbour Rhodesia had 7 departments staffed by 180 Europeans and 90 Africans.
