Commercial Bank Zambia Ltd was located in Lusaka. It was registered on 1 May 1965 to take over the business of the Netherlands Bank of South Africa Ltd. TheĀ Nederlandse Overzee Bank N.N. Amsterdam and the Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago had equal shares.
Further branches were established at Kitwe, Livingstone, Lusaka and Ndola.
