Welcome, everyone to the second in our series of philatelic roundtables presented by the Mid-Atlantic Federation of Postal History Societies.
Charles is a lifelong philatelist, postal historian & award-winning author. He enjoys researching, restoring, writing, publishing, & presenting on a broad array of philatelic & postal history topics. He is President of the Philatelic Society of Lancaster County; President of the Empire State Postal History Society, Editor-in-Chief of the USPCS Chairman’s Chatter, life member of the U.S. Philatelic Classics Society, and on the Board of the PA Postal History Society.
Jeff Stage, of Syracuse, N.Y., is the editor for the Excelsior, journal of the Empire State Postal History Society. He has been a writer and editor for most of his professional career. He worked for nearly 36 years as a reporter and editor for the daily Syracuse newspapers. In 2015, he joined the staff of the American Philatelic Society as an editorial associate. He still contributes to The American Philatelist as the new U.S. stamps columnist. In 2013, he self-published a mystery novel – Chasing Jenny – based on the still-unsolved theft in 1955 of the McCoy block of inverted Jenny’s from the national stamp show in Norfolk, Va. (Note – though three of the four stamps have been found, the book’s plot still holds up!)
Martin Miller is the Editor of the Pennsylvania Postal History Society Journal and several others. He has had experience working with the APS, the ATA, and the US Stamp Society. He has helped to create many digital and print books, events, and websites. Martin is also the founder of the Philatelic Press which is a communications agency focusing on print, web, and virtual presentation tools for the philatelic community.
