Australia Philately: 1967 World Y.W.C.A. Council

A 4c stamp will be issued on 21st August, 1967, to mark the World Young Women’s Christian Association Council Meeting, and in recognition of the Y.W.C.A.’s long record of service to the community. 

The stamp, designed by Mr. Harry Williamson of Sydney, shows multiple representations of the Y.W.C.A. emblem superimposed on flags. The colours are light blue, mid-blue, dark blue and magenta, and the stamp was photogravure-printed, in sheets of 100 on helecon paper, at the Note Printing Branch, Reserve Bank of Australia, Melbourne. Stamp size (printed area) is 34.5 mm x 22 mm.
