Baldwin Spencer, John Gould, Griffith Taylor and Thomas Laby are depicted in the fifth group of Famous Australians stamps, issued on 10th November, 1976. All four stamps are of 18c denomination and were on general sale at post offices for approximately two weeks and are continuing on sale at Australia Post philatelic sales centres for up to twelve months from the issue date, providing stocks last. The portraits fo the stamp designs were especially drawn for the series by Melbourne artist, Mr Bruce Weatherhead.
