Sheet Numbers
With reference to the sheet serial numbers, each pane of 50 stamps was numbered after printing, for control purposes, on several separate numbering presses and therefore the numbering has no relationship to the printing of the stamps on the Roland Rekord press. The fact that more than one press was used for the numbering accounts for the numbers appearing in different type fonts on the sheets.
