Temporary post offices were provided at the Southern Cross and Hilton Hotels, Melbourne, Victoria, between 16th May to 20th May, 1977, during the Golden Jubilee of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. A special postmarker was used at the temporary post offices to cancel 3,780 articles, including ten registered.
