On 7 May 1980 Australia Post will issue a se-tenant strip of 22c stamps illustrating the Banko Paterson penned ballad ‘Waltzing Matilda’.
The stamps and stamp pack will be available at all post offices from 7 May 1980 for approximately six weeks. They will remain on sale at philatelic sales centres until 7 May 1981, provided stocks last. Please note that the issue date of these stamps has been changed from the previously advised 5 May 1980.

Souvenir Pack
The se-tenant strip of five 22c stamps will be available in a souvenir pack for $A1.27. Technical and background information regarding the stamps is printed on the inside cover of the pack.
First Day Covers No.139 (Official)
One first day cover (218 mm x 110 mm), numbered 139 will be provided for this issue. It will be unserviced for $A0.13 each from 30 April 1980. The cover with the se-tenant strip of five stamps affixed and postmarked 7 May 1980 will cost $A1.23.
