A commemorative pre-stamped envelope will be issued on 13 March 1980 to celebrate the International Wine and Food Convention. The major functions will be held in Melbourne and Sydney and this will be the first occasion that Australia has hosted the International Wine and Food Convention.

The envelope is numbered 18, and carries a 20c denomination. The envelope will cost $0.25 each and they measure 190 mm x 101 mm. The envelopes will be available at Australia Post philatelic sales centres for twelve months from the respective issue dates, provided stocks last. First day of issue postmarking facilities will be available at these centres.
