Australia Post will issued a 22c stamp on 19 May 1980 to commemorate the opening of the High Court of Australia building.
The issue date of the stamps is also the opening date of the Second International Appellate Judges Conference, being held in Sydney and Canberra. The High Court of Australia building will be opened one week later, on 26 May 1980, by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The stamp will be available at all post offices for approximately two weeks from 19 May 1980 and will remain on sale at philatelic sales centres until 19 May 1981, provided stocks last.
