Australia Philately: 1982 XI International Conference on Health Education

Delegates from around the world will meet in Hobart, Tasmania, from 15-20 August 1982 to participate in the XI International Conference on Health Education. The Conference is a significant event in health education and this is the firsrt time that such a conference has been held outside of Europe and the Americas. The Conference is hosted by the Australian Society of Health Educators, on behalf of the International Union for Health Education and the World Health Organisation. The main theme of the Conference is ‘Towards Health for all by the Year 2000 : Role and Priorities of Health Education.’

Australia Post will commemorate the occasion of the XI International Conference on Health Education with the issue of a pre-stamped envelope on 16 August 1982.

Pre-Stamped Envelope No.057

The envelope, measuring 190 mm x 103 mm and numbered 057, was designed by Australia Post’s Graphic Design Section and carries a 27c denomintation. It will be available from all Australia Post philatelic sales centres, at a cost of $A0.34, until 28 February 1983, provided stocks last.

First day of issue postmarked envelopes will be available at first day of issue post offices until 27 August 1982, provided stocks last.
