Chadstone Centre Post Office opened on 3 October 1960. It was located on Junior Mall opposite Myer.

Chadstone Centre became a first day of issue postmarker office on 18 April 1972, the date of issue of the 50th Anniversary of the Country Women’s Association postage stamp.
