Bank Lane is located in Nassau. The lane’s name derives from The Bank of Nassau, a company incorporated in 1888. The bank opened for business in 1889 in the offices of the late Public Bank in the Eastern Public Building and continued there until 1911, when it moved into its own premises on Bay Street.
Later the Royal Bank of Canada opened a branch there in 1908.
