In 1970, Hotels Corporation of America was rebranded as Sonesta Internationals Hotel, and Balmoral Beach Hotel became known as the Balmoral Beach Hotel (A Sonesta Resort Hotel).
In February 1972, a Bahamian subsidiary of Court Line purchased the Balmoral Hotel, becoming the Halcyon Balmoral Hotel.
