Calypso Distributors Ltd expanded from Nassau to a second location on the Queen’s Highway, Freeport, Grand Bahama. The operations appear to have began operations here c.1966/67 – a year after Calypso Distributors Ltd took over distribution of the Colorpicture Publishers Inc postcards. However, records suggest the operations only began at Freeport in 1974.
Postcard Series
- Type D – P. O. Box 304 (1966-1973)
- Type E – P. O. Box F2434 (1973-1979)
- Type G – P. O. Box F2434 (New font style)
Three different versions of the heading in the postcard section can be found:
- XA – Post Card
- XB – Address
- XC – Blank
The stamp box can be found in either a small square (1) or large square (2). It appears the large square was used later. Additionally, some cards have Made in U.S.A. in the stamp box. It is currently unclear if these changes related to stamp folders printed at the same time. Further research is required.
