The Cotton Bay Club was located on Eleuthera. It was originally developed by the founder of Pan Am World Airways, Juan Trippe, in 1959 and was one of the most popular resorts on Eleuthera, frequented by the wealthy. Unlike the Rock Sound Club, Cotton Bay Club was closed to the public.
The Cotton Bay Golf Club hosted the top echelon of professional golf including Shells’s Woderful World of Golf matches between Arnold Palmer and Julius Boros in 1968. The golf course was designed by golf engineer, Robert Trent Jones.
