Bahamas Philately: Dexter Press Inc (75400-B Series)

Operation Hope – Bahamas was a volunteer association founded by Walt Sterling to assist with the educational, wealth, health, sports and special projects throughout the Bahamas. Sterling was noted as an “internationally honored teacher of world geography” (A.A.U.N. Speaker and U.S. Maritime Officer).

Several sets of postcards were produced to assist equipment funds of the Out Island hospital clinics. Each card held four views of the capital, Nassau.

It appears that one set of postcards were only been available with a LP called Presenting the Colourful Music of the World Famous Bahama Police Band produced by Sterling in 1963, of which 12 were produced. 50c of each record sale went to the welfare fund of the Bahamas Police Force.
