In 1967, the Emerald Beach Hotel was rebranded as the Emerald Beach Plantation and Hotel, managed by the hotel representative firm, Robert F Warner Inc. It defined itself as ‘the pink plantation.’ The first General Manager was Charles (Chuck) A Bremicker (1967-1969). Jim Bearce (1969-1970) took over the role and was also the Senior Vice President of Robert F Warner Inc.
During this period, the hotel boasted four championship tennis courts, golf and Pitch n Putt. Activities included shuffleboards, bowling, motor biking, fishing, skin-diving and sailing. They also offered nightly dancing and “native” shows.
In March 1973, the management of the hotel changed from Corrigan Hotels to Hyatt International Hotels. The hotel was re-branded to the Hyatt Emerald Beach.
