In 1968, Flamingo was developed as part of a master planned Government-approved master community for yachtsmen, golfers, fishing enthusiasts and “everyone who loves lazy days in the sun.”
The development was managed by Elizabeth Harbour Exuma Ltd. The plan included an 18 hole golf course, 112 boat marina, 100 room beach hotel, 5,000 feet air strip, service center, aero and beach club, and tennis courts.
Property was offered from ¼ acre to 3 acres. Pricing started from $1995 with 5% down and 1% per month with zero interest.
