Rock Sound Properties (1976) Ltd, Eleuthera, was established by Thomas Albert. In his late teens, Albert worked at The Market. The Market was the largest retail establishment on Eleuthera and part of the business holdings of American business tycoon, Juan Trippe. It was a division of what was then South Eleuthera Properties Ltd.
Recognizing Alberts’ business potential, the Trippe family made Albert the manager of the retail division of their company, which included The Market. When Juan Trippe decided to sell his retail holdings, he offered these businesses to Albert at preferential terms.
On 12 June 1976, the couple leased the real estate holdings, using all their savings to make the down-payment, and thereby establishing Rock Sound Properties (1976) Ltd.
