Sea Wyfe (known as Solomon’s Lighthouse) was located on Eastern Road, Nassau. It was built by Nassau businessman, Fane Solomon. The lighthouse was not a functional lighthouse but was constructed as a private residence that Solomon used as a weekend retreat. Two British architects, Arnold Frank Robjohns and Henry Melich, drew the plans and it took two years to construct, completed in 1963.
The 70‐foot‐tall tower was constructed from concrete and steel. Inside, a teak and mahogany staircase spiraled around the inside of the tower from the library on the first floor to the living room at the top. A bedroom and bath were located on the second and third floors, and a kitchen and dining area on the fourth. An three-person elevator serviced all levels. The house was filled with nautical curious and antiques.
