The Shalimar Hotel was originally built as an apartment complex by Shalimar Developments Ltd but opened as a hotel in 1971.
The hotel was fully furnished, and as it was originally designed as an apartment block, each room had its own kitchen. The hotel offered tennis courts, three swimming pools, rooftop dining and terrace, and a children’s playground.
