The Anchorage Hotel was located on West Bay Street, Nassau. The five storey, 114-room hotel began construction in 1966 and opened in 1967. It overlooked Nassau’s scenic Western Esplanade and beach.
Within a month of completion, the hotel was sold for $2¼ million to New Yorkers Leonard Kaye, David Waltzer and Howard Miller. By the early 1970’s it was owned by Esplanade Holdings Limited, a Bahamian Corporation.
