Bahamas Philately: The Castaways Resort

The Castaways Resort Hotel was opened in November 1969. It was a 150 room hotel based in Freeport, Grand Bahama that was under the same management as the Freeport Inn.

The hotel was decorated in a Far East style with an indoor/outdoor oriental garden lobby and pool. Facilities included the Driftwood Restaurant and Supper Club under the direction of Billy of Billy’s Restaurant in Washington, D.C.
