Eulophia quartiniana is an orchid species identified by A.Rich. in 1850.
It is found in the Cape Verde Islands, Benin, Burkino Faso, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo, Burundi, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Rwanda, Zaire, Chad, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Angola, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Oman, Saudia Arabia and Yemen in scrub and woodland, on poor rocky soil at elevations of 600 to 2000 meters as a large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial
It has waxy, fragrant flowers occurring in the fall and early winter. This species can be found with or without deciduous leaves.
