The Grand Hotel was located in Lusaka and opened in 1929. In 1930 the proprietorship passed over to I Levision, who was brought up in the hotel trade in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was considered one of the best hotels in Northern Rhodesia at the time.
The hotel had 18 bedrooms, each with a bathroom with hot and cold water. It provided both a dining room and public lounge.
