Cecil Hotel, located in Umtali, was originally opened c.1890. The hotel was part of Miekle’s Associated Hotels.
In the 1950’s a third version of the hotel was built. The hotel was known for comfort and cuisine. Private Suites were provided with and without private baths., there was spacious lounges and verandahs, a modern dining room and grill room, and a cocktail bar.
