The Jameson Hotel was located on Jameson Avenue, Salisbury. It was opened in 1958 was originally part of the Ridgeway Group.
In 1959, the hotel applied for a multi-racial licence. The Jameson employed, served and accommodated all and was thus not only the most hospitable hotel to non-European populations but one of the most liberal in the whole of the Federation.
The Jameson provided an elite option for important non-European guests.
