Rhodesia Philately: 1970 Inauguration of the Posts & Telecommunications Corporation – 15c Telegraph Line

As the railway pushed northwards so too did the first telegraph line. This followed a route from Mafeking to Palapye and on to Macloutsie, where it then followed the same route taken by the pioneer column to reach Salisbury. The stamp shows a typical construction party of the time.
