Tourism, which is rapidly expanding, is represented by this illustration of the controversial Zimbabwe Ruins. The conflicting opinions of archaeologists, attributing the origin of the ruins either to the indigenous Bantu people or to a bygone Arab or Phoenician civilization, serve only to heighten the mystery of the ruins and their attraction to visitor and resident alike.
