Wisconsin-based Dr. Dan Undersander, a U.S. postal stationery expert, spoke at the October 2020 Chicago Philatelic Society online meeting about high-denomination envelopes ranging from 1861-1894.
His talk included a discussion of usage, scarcity, rates, and numbers sold. His examples feature a variety of colors and postal markings and demonstrate mailings to foreign destinations and usage by express companies such as Wells Fargo.
