On 2nd May 1967, the release of two stamps, value 3d and 6d., will commemorate the inauguration of the Zambia National Assembly Building. This imposing building provides the motif for both stamps against black on the 3d. value and green on the 6d. value. The top centre-piece of the structure and the base of the stamps shown in gold.

First Day Covers (Official)
A distinctive first day cover for the issue was available at 2s. 9d. per cover. This included service and registration fees and airmail postage. All first day covers purchased through the Stamp Bureau, Ndola, bears the cancellation date-stamp impression of the post office established at the National Assembly Building.
