The implementation of the First National Development Plan (FNDP) was designed to strengthen the Zambian economy and to correct certain grave imbalances inherited from colonial days. It was further accentuated by the Rhodesian Unilateral Declaration of Independence in 1965.
This stamp release coincided with Zambia’s third anniversary of independence.
