In 1965 the Government of Zambia joined the ranks of donors by making a financial contribution to the work of UNICEF. UNICEF is currently assisting more than 500 projects in 118 countries, including Zambia. The stamp paying tribute to the work of UNICEF is of 25 ngwee denomination and depicts a group of children playing and bears the inscription “UNICEF 1948-1968.” Colours are blue, gold, black and white.
