These cards were illustrated by Phoebe Flory Walker, Cleveland, USA. Phoebe was educated in art at Smith College, Cleveland School of Art, and the Art Students League in New York. She taught in various art schools and was Vice President of the Ohio Water Color Society.
As an artist, she specialised in portraiture and her books include Portraits in the Making (1948) and Watercolor Portraiture (1949).
