The M/S Grand Bahama was a 160 foot, 225 passenger, luxury liner. The liner was constructed in 1950 by Glommens Mek. Verksted, Norway, and was christened the M/S Romsdal. In 1962 it was purchased by by William Shipping Co., Inc, Monrovia.
In 1963 it began sailing between West Palm Beach, Florida, to the Grand Bahama Hotel and Country Club, West End, Grand Bahama. The liner travelled three times a week and the round-trip fare was $25. The ticket was interchangeable on all Mackey Airline flights on a one-way basis. The trip took approximately four and half hours.
It continued to operate until 1978.
