Australia Philately: 1978 Pre-Stamped Envelope Collection – Rose Robin (Petroica rosea)

They are found in thickly-forested areas of south-eastern Australia. The male of the species has the coloured breast and the female’s underside is usually grey and sometimes flushed with pink. These graceful little robins continually flit around and are particularly skilful at catching on the wing.
