The 3c stamp is based on an altarpiece by Giovanni Battista Pittoni, depicting both the Nativity (the birth of Christ and his adoration) and the Trinity (God the Father, Christ and the Holy Spirit). It was painted around 1740 and it is unknown for which church it was commissioned.
