Bahamas Philately: Freeport Inn

The Freeport Inn was opened as a small resort-styled hotel in the centre of the business district in 1963 with 36 rooms. By September 1966, it had at least four expansions, bringing the total rooms available to 120. In 1968 it added an additional 50 rooms brining the total to 170.

The hotel offered a pool, a steak-house called Mitch’s Steak House and a cocktail lounge.
