Bahamas Philately: Halcyon Balmoral Hotel

thedigitalphilatelist 01/02/1972

In February 1972, a Bahamian subsidiary of Court Line purchased the Balmoral Beach Hotel (A Sonesta Resort Hotel), becoming the Halcyon Balmoral Hotel.

In 1974 the Hotel was sold to the Bahamian Government at a loss. It was relaunched as Balmoral Beach.
