The King’s Inn Hotel (also referred to as Bahamia King’s Inn Hotel) opened 29 January 1965 in Freeport, Grand Bahama, at a cost of $3,000,000. The hotel was part of the first phase of a $100 million living, shopping and leisure community constructed by Daniel K. Ludwig called Bahamia.
The hotel offered 300 air-conditioned rooms for visitors consisting of single and double rooms, suites and cottages. The building was designed as a star shape with a swimming pool in the centre of the star. It also provided its own casino and restaurants.
On 1 May 1965, the King’s Inn Hotel opened an adjoining 18‐hole championship golf course and the hotel was re-branded as the King’s Inn & Golf Club.
