Bahamas Philately: Paradise Island – Paradise Beach

In 1959, Huntington Hartford, the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P supermarket) heir, arrived on Hog Island. Hartford bought Hog Island from Axel Wenner-Gren and in 1962, Hog Island was opened as Paradise Island.
