In 1970 the Riding Rock Club was purchased by developer Columbus Landings Ltd and rebranded as Riding Rock Inn. Columbus Landings were engaged in a massive land development project for San Salvador Island to turn it into a resort island.
The Inn closed its doors briefly from 8 December 1983-85. In the late 1980’s it was purchased by a local family and reopened as the Riding Rock Resort and Marina.
